Gambling should remain a form of leisure. The most important rule is to never stake money you cannot afford to lose. Once you begin using money you need for other things—especially to chase losses—the outcome will be negative in almost every case. When playing only brings stress or creates conflict with people around you, it’s time to step back and reassess.
